I have a Panasonic TH42PX60 TV, very pleased with picture quality. Now looking for a fairly cheap DVD player. What is best connection to fully utilise the Panasonics properties, ie. a DVD player with HDMI or component? What is the difference? I believe the TV's upscaling properties are going to be better than a cheapish DVD player. Does the HDMI allow the TV to upscale rather than the DVD player? Basically, I probably don't know what I am talking about, so if someone kind of understands what I am trying to ask, please reply.

I use a Panasonic s52 dvd player with a panasonic 37pv500 plasma and let the plasma do the scaling and you can download firmware for multi region hack and it even allows on the zoom on the dvd player to fix overscan problems :smashin:
