HDMI optical Neet Tv Soundbar Kitchen Build

Hi. Need a bit of advice on the new kitchen system.
Currently running optical off the sky box to my lounge AV system.
I will need to switch sound to hdmi and run cat 6 network to the kitchen
So I can have the Tv linked to my AV receiver.
I'm guessing it will have picture and audio over the Neet Hdmi converter.
I then need to find a decent sound bar that will sit flush under or over the wall
Mounted tv as I we will walk past it and dont want it jutting out.
However it seems all the good soundbars are quite deep (built in subs).

I'm hoping the 2 cat 6 cables will carry picture and sound.

Also the sound bars usually require optical to connect so once the TV takes the HDMI
Signal I can plug the sound bar into the Tv with optical to get sound out if it?

Depends on the TV, many only output digital audio derived from the built in tuners. Would be easier to find a sound bar with hdmi in and hdmi out.

SKY can be configured to deliver HD Video + 2-Ch audio via HDMI + simultaneously deliver up to 5.1 DD over Optical.

Stick a 1x2 HDMI Splitter on the Output side of the SKY HDMI with one Output to the local TV/AVR + one Output Extended (over CAT6) to the Kitchen TV (either Direct or via a Soundbar).

Most TV's will Input HD Video + 2-Ch audio via HDMI and then Output 2-Ch audio via Optical or HDMI ARC to your Soundbar.

Great thanks for the tips.
What's the best way for me to have the cat6 coming out the wall behind the TV?
Leave them poking out?
Put rj45 wall plates in. Might need to snip ends off and wire in
Worried if I have too many connections then the hdmi cat 6 will loose performance.

For HDMI Extension it is best to avoid terminated faceplates/unnecessary breaks in the cable run.

We use 'brush' style faceplate.
