HDMI Fix

Hi all.

I have a Sony STR-DH800 receiver and the HDMI input has become faulty.

Can I have this fixed or is it now destined for the bin?

Just another thought.

If I need to replace it, what would you recommend in the same sort of league? Doesn't have to be sony.

is it the hdmi jack (connector)? does moving the hdmi cable around make it work briefly somewhat? if so, all you need to do is repair that one port by soldering on a new one, should be cheap to do too.

I haven't checked that but I will.

I was getting something on the TV screen, it was all pink and distorted.
