    Ive run a decent hdmi lead from tivo box to tv but now have a new tv and leads to short will extending the hdmi degredate the signal or quality, alas replacing the lead toaly isnt a option

    Depends how far you are sending the signal. Anything up to 10 metres will be fine on a half decent lead. Beyond this, a powered and equalised cable can be had for £40 or so.

    You don't need to buy a dedicated extension lead. Just buy a cable of the correct length and a joiner.

    The signals are digital, so it will either work or it won't! You won't see any signal degredation as you would in an analogue system.

    cheers extension only be 1m , aw aok so use a back to back hdmi joiner
