Is there any good HDMI DVD Recorder on the market?
I don't know the answer to your question, but what exactly are you expecting this machine to do with the HDMI input, given that DVD is not a High Definition format?
And even if it did put something on the DVD, I am sure it wouldn't get an HDCP licence, so it might have limited usefulness.
Or do you just mean HDMI output?
Sorry about being so vague.
I'm looking for a DVD that outputs HDMi. Something like a DVDS97EBS that can also record TV stuff.
A sales chap told me theres one coming out later this year. as far as I know there are none available now.
It's to be connected to a panasonic PV500
The Pioneer 920 is equipped with HDMI. Others (from Toshiba, Sony and Panasonic) will be arriving soon(ish).
I am looking at Toshiba but seems it has restriced recording to DVDRAM and DVDR only?
Does it do Dual layer?
Toshiba RD-XS52 DVD Player/Recorder with 160 GB Hard Drive and HDMI Interface
and possibly dont record on RW etc!! damn it!
and Pioneer is unfortunately only UK model!
I'll wait for CEDIA!
Just checked and its £777.95
There will be one from JVC, the DR-MH300 I think it's called, but not until September.
Looks like its the Pioneer then.
The £500 I saved price matching at John Lewis will have to go towards it.
