HDMI / Cat6 Grief

Novice Member
I have a HDMI Splitter coming out of my Sky HD box. One HDMI cable runs off to my TV (sucessfully) and the other I'm trying to get to run to the next room.

Having been advised against running a 20m HDMI cable I chose a HDMI/Cat solution instead. I found somereasonably cheapo baluns and I ran apair of 15m test cables to a nameless LCD tv and it worked a treat. I was able to watch my Sky HD (at 1080i) successfully in bed.

So I got myself a better LCD tv got some straight line female to female ethernet couplers and anextra 5m of cable (x2) tacked all the cable in place and expected to see my new lcd tv in all its glory.

Problem is, I'm not getting anything. The light is on the splitter which suggests there is some kind of connection, perhaps even a handshake, but no picture or sound. I've tried pulling/pushing and turning off/on everything, but nothing changes.

Any ideas?
