    New to the forum, so hello to everyone! :hiya:

    I know this question has probably been asked a thousand times already, but I guess each persons configuration is different!:D

    I have (or will have very soon) the following configuration:
    * Sony KDL-40X3500
    * Virgin Media V+ Box
    * Sony PS3 - used for both gaming and BR DVD
    * Xbox 360

    I'm looking for a high quality HDMI cable and was wondering if anyone has any recomendations? I don't have budget so just fire away! The cables main function will be to connect the PS3 to the TV, so I'm looking for something that is good for games as well as watching BluRay films. I've invested a lot of money (to me anyway) in buying an excellent TV, so don't want to be letting it down with a cr*p cable.

    I would potentially buy the same cable to connect my Virgin box, or if that's over kill, use a slightly cheaper cable.

    All suggestions gratefully accepted!:clap:

    How long do the cables need to be?

    As an HDMI cable is only carrying a digital signal (zeros and ones) there is no need whatsoever to spend a fortune on one - you can pick up one from Ebay for under a tenner, then spend what you've saved on another game for your PS3.

    Cheers,

    Martin.

    Crikey, you guys are on the ball! :clap:

    Won't need to be anymore than 3m. The devices will be in a cabinet directly below the TV.

    I have UKHDMI Premium N cables and can't fault them. I think there is free delivery on orders over £10 this month. 3m cable is about £9.

    Then I would have thought that 1 metre would probably be more than enough.

    Cheers,

    Martin.

    Spent £10-20 at the most and I'd be inclined to measure up a bit so you have a good idea of the length as extra unneeded HDMI cable just adds to the mess and can be difficult to tidy up without stressing the connection.

    Any of the examples above will do nicely as you need nothing special for that sort of length.
