The 'standard' lengths available from the various manufacturers of HDMI cables we can source are 2, 3 and 5m - with some longer (though expensive) cables coming along from the more esoteric brands.

The difference in price between a Molex 3m and a Molex 5m is less than £15.00.

    Best regards

Joe, talking of cables ,there is a website about to start selling longer versions ot the cable between Pio 434 screen and media box. Do you know what the maximum length of cable should be. I think they sell them up to 20m.

Do you mean a 'custom built ' R04 to PDP-434PE Screen cable or Pioneers own 10m Copper or 30m Fibre Optic cable's - if it is Custom I guess they are doing both the Video and Comms connections.

Pioneer don't recommend going over the 10m using a copper cable - I guess if someone's making a Custom one they will have tested it!

    Best regards

The 2m Molex are excellent - over 2m they are pretty much on a par with anything else I've tried using a Standard Definition signal

The BetterCables Digital Magic cables do work well over long distances and I tend to recommend these if you are going to 5m or over using multiple cables.

I've yet to try the WireWorld which claims to have benefits at any length - and a price tag to match the claims.

    Best regards

Joe which cable would you recommend for a 2m connection between a pio 868 and pio 504. You have molex and digital magic on you website. You said the molex is good for short lenghts does that mean i would see no benfit if i got the more expensive digital magic one. Are there any shorter lenghts i.e. 1 m or even 0.5m

    Joe:

Have you tryed the Wireword at 8 to 10 meters?

Or any Other HDMI cable over 7 meters that's better than a good component cable?

    Best regards

    Joe

PS I'll have info on the website about new HDMI cables from Supra in the next day or so.
