Hi all

Got an LG OLED TV and a Pioneer Amp, all works well apart from ARC

ARC works fine but if it's enabled along with CEC I get lots of random on and off signals sent to the AMP which causing a pain when trying to watch something

What I am wondering is if I disable pin 13 between the TV and Amp on the HDMI that carries ARC will ARC still work? But solve my random on/off issue?

Try and let us know :)
Other option is optical cable and harmony remote.
Also one option is turn off CEC in other devices except tv and receiver.

ARC is a subset of CEC, disable CEC and you get no ARC.
HDMI CEC must be active for ARC to work.

HDMI CEC has a standard command set, however manufacturers are free to use their own command set and most of them do...
So ...
Samsung CEC is anynet
Sony CEC is Bravialink
Panasonic CEC is Vieralink etc.

None of these are guaranteed to work with each other and problems are rife.

Best option, avoid CEC and ARC as in the post above.
