    Hi,

I've just managed to put a projector in place (Panasonic AX100E) and want to have a switching system between all of my existing equipment (Cable Box, DVD Recorder, HDMI Output Upscaling DVD Player) to the both the projector and my existing LCD TV (which is beneath the projection screen).

I can live with having a basic HDMI two way switcher for the moment, but I have no idea if you can use them the other way around, putting the outputs as inputs. Surely this should work as all the pins will be wired up?

    Thanks,

    Barney.

    Hello Barney

Haven't come across a 2x1 HDMI Switch that can be 'reversed' as a 1x2 HDMI DA (Distribution Amp).

Have a look at the Octava HDS32-UK - its a 3x2 Cross Switch with Automatic Source Selection (the Auto selection can be defeated if required).

The only 'limitation' being you cant view the same Source on both Display devoices simultaneously - see http://www.octavainc.com/HDMI switch 3x2 port.html
