HDMI advice for a HDMI newby

Active Member
Okay so i've just bought a Sony DVP-NS76H dvd player which I will connect to my LCD TV via HDMI.

My questions are:

1) Will you gain any real difference in picture quality between expensive HDMI leads and not so expensive HDMI leads?

2) What brands/makes of HDMI leads should I be looking out for?

3) For a HDMI connection between the above dvd player and an LCD TV what sort of price range should I be looking at for a good quality HDMI lead?

The lead doesn't need too be any longer than 2 metres.

Thanks guys for any advice.

1) Current opinion is that for shorter cable lengths (less than 10 feet or 5 metres depending on who you talk to) a cheap cable or one supplied with a TV, DVD player or STB should be fine.
Therefore 2) and 3) shouldn't really enter into the equation in your case.
