Hey guys, any advice on the best make of HDMI 1.3 1080p cable?
Is there such a thing as 1.3 hdmi cable?! I taught cable is cable!
HDMI 1.3 compliance means a cable has been submitted too and passed a test set out by HDMI.org and its licensing team.
A cable not having HDMI 1.3 compliance may not necessarily mean it cant do 1.3 - it basically means its not been submitted for the test.
Not all cables (even HDMI 1.3 compliant cables) will do 1080p over longer cable runs.
You can have a 2m Molex cable that meets the HDMI 1.3 spec for approx 15.00 GBP on a short (2m) run - if your looking at longer 5m+ you may want to consider BetterCables or others who can deliver HDMI 1.3 compliance and 1080p up to 25m; see http://www.bettercables.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=3.
