    Hey guys,
I've just recently purchased a new LCD TV and would like a hard disk recorder with an integrated freeview receiver with top up TV compatibility. I would like the space on the hard drive to be a minimum of 40gb but I would prefer something around 60gb. I would be looking to spend anywhere up to £350. Your help is most appreciated,
    Sam

There are comments on the Humax machine in the "Which? Report" thread.

If you can wait until next year there seems to be alot of freeview boxes with good sized HDD, twin tuners & top-up slots coming out.

Humax 8000 seems to be the best about (most stable) but only has a max of 80GB (2 models one 40 other 80) and only a single tuner. Pace, Thomson & Fusion all have twin tuners but have problems - look on this forums and others
