    Hi

I've just upgraded my PS3 to a 320GB HDD, its a Western Digital Scorpio Blue 320GB. Went through the initial setup menus after formatting the HDD. Just checked the system information and beside free space it says, 263GB/298GB. To me that does sound right. Is there something I havent done or is this reading normal?

    Thanks

    Baz

It's perfectly normal, some of the missing space is taken by the PS3 OS.

Yes thats right. I got the same, for a start the 320gb is really about 300gb, for hardrive reasons. And the ps3 takes 10% of the size of the hardrive for the OS, which is about 30gb . I have no clue why, as it works fine without all that space.
