    I'm looking to buy a Panasonic DMR-E95 HDD recorder but need someone to confirm that I can copy a stack of DVDs onto the hard drive and then access them via a menu on the screen. I've had a brief look at the manual but it doesn't seem to answer my question.

    Any help would be much appreciated!

    If you are talking about comercial DVDs, then the answer is NO.

    Then the answer is yes, but:

    - If you want to copy a DVD-R in Video Mode I supose that you can only do it in real time (with PQ loss). You will not be able to copy any multichannel sound (DD5.1 or DTS or whatever).

    - If you want to copy a DVD-RAM you can do a High Speed Dub. But I doubt that this is what you want.

    I suppose your intention is to do some sort of a "jukebox" out of it. Taking in consideration what i said before, I realy don't see what would be the advantages.

    Hope that helps.

    PQ = Picture Quality

    It really doesn't sound good ... or shall we say "look" good.

    No, it won't (only from DVD-RAM).
