HDD Capacity

    What would you describe as the minimum HDD capacity for editing DV tapes on a PC?

    If you can find one as small as 40Gb then that would IMHO be the smallest you would want.
    DV footage takes 1Gb of disk space for every 4 mintes capture plus more space for editing. Therefore to capture a 1 hour DV tape will take 15Gb with plenty spare on a 40Gb drive for other projects or editing/converting/encoding etc.

    The above is assuming that you add an additional 40Gb drive that has NO programmes installed on it.
