I am not sure if this has been mentioned but this is interesting

    http://www.jvbdigital.com/jvb.asp?cur=2&level=accessoires&page=title&title=241

Why it only works on a 1910 I am not sure. if it is a dongle that sits on teh output then I can't see why it won't work with any DVI output?

It says it switches off the HDCP in the player, which is not the same as removing it from the encrypted signal that would normally come out of the player. So no compromise of the HDCP system itself is involved. Effectively it's a way of making the Denon behave like a Momitsu or similar, which don't have HDCP at all.

It seems that upsampling players without HDCP aren't going to be legally challenged, and are proliferating. High Definition DVD players will be a different matter.

The interesting thing to me is if the tighter controls, in preventing the casual copying that is common now, won't encourage large scale criminal manufacture of copies, because there won't be any cottage industry competition.
