    Hi all

Just need a really quick answer please. Ive just conected my hd65 to my ps3 directly to make sure everything works ok and i have got the menu screen but i have no ps3 screen? It says no hdmi source found/

IU have used a couple of different leads but no joy.

Anyone have any ideas i just want a quick play before my daughter wakes up and the toy has to go away:lease:

    Hey HOF,

I take it you have set the display settings on the PS3 to HDMI out and also ticked all available options i.e 720p?

Other than that sorry can't help as I'm still waiting on my HD65 arriving.

Maybe the HDMI handshake and the PS3 expecting to see your TV?

Try resetting the video settings on PS3 - with your PJ connected via HDMI hold down power button on PS3 for about 3 secs till it beeps and restarts, wait for it to boot up and after it recognises there is a HDMI connection you should see the HDMI device detected screen - do you want to output thru HDMI yes/no. Hopefully job done :smashin:

    not good then :thumbsdow

Hope its not a generic problem as my PS3 will be the main source for my HD65. Hope you get it sorted soon.

if the ps3,works on another tv fine, with hdmi, and you have tried another couple of hdmi leads from ps3- projector, and resetting the ps3 didnt do anything, the only thing left is to try something else hdmi related into the projector..if this works, i would think the hd65 might have to have a firmware update.
    but...
if the projector also doesnt see the second connected item, its either firmware related,or a faulty hdmi socket.

and when you do get it working, set the ps3 to 1080p..it looks far better than 720p.:smashin:

there are a few people on here that have had problems with the ps3 and the optoma hd65 and the optoma hd70 not not getting a picture using hdmi. I have the hd70 and my ps3 works fine with my pj. Speak to optoma or as a last resort try using component for video

contact optoma, they will take the unit, check it, and if needed, update the firmware.
there have been a few ps3 issues with the optoma HD65, and a firmware update seems to have fixed it with the people with the handshake issues.

Hi all - Onkyo really do do a great hot-swap service for this kind of thing. I had an issue with my PS3 and Onkyo HTX22HD amp where the handshake didn't work properly and the screen went pink.

I called Onkyo, filled out a quick form via e-mail and they arrange collection of the projector. Service was really friendly. They'll also drop off a hot swap projector (normally an old style projector) which will tide you over until yours is fixed etc. I had my projector back within a week and it was completely fixed. The Hotswap warranty is for 3 years. Given that the HD65 is barely 18 months old since conceived, i wasn't even asked for warranty information.
