I was wondering if anyone else who has an HD5 has noticed that the elapsed time and the corresponding "bar" flicker, or change time irregularly soon after you turn the unit on. althoguh it does seem to settle down after a while.
    cheers

this doesn't happen with mine either. does it happen only on certain mp3s/atrac files? or with all songs?

That happened with mine on occaision, where the seconds would zoom up and then stop and the elapsed time bar would shoot forward and move back. Only happened once or twice but I put it down to the overall problems I was having with system crashes. That player has been returned. I couldn't say now what type of file it happened on unfortunately.

I've got a feeling this only happens with variable bit rate MP3's (waits for someone to prove him wrong!)
