HD4 Chip

Don't want to get involved in 'whats out in USA' but the spec for this fully 1080p over hdmi (the only one so far) mentions that it uses the HD4 chip. Surely this can't be the same as in the Sagem G4's. Anyone know.

A lot of manufacturers are trying to get away from publishing chip denominations as they're starting to get quite confusing. What we in the UK know as a HD4 chip doesn't support 1080p, it's in fact the newer range of "wobbulated" chip that has a resolution of 1280x720. In the TI have brought a new chip (possibly called xHD4) which has a resolution of 1920x1080 and therefore could support 1080p. This also depends on the the HDMI input as not all HDMI connections support 1080p.
