HD3 Recall & Argos!!!

    If you bought your Sony NW-HD3 from Argos then this may help.

    I printed this page from the Sony site http://www.sony.co.uk/PageView.do?site=odw_en_GB&page=SupportDetailFirstSection&articlesection=1&article=1115723714577&section=en_GB_Support, packaged up the HD3 in its original packaging and took it along with my receipt to my local Argos.

    They looked at the printout and promptly replaced my unit, no questions asked :smashin:

    They even checked the serial number for me to make sure it was outwith the range of the recalled units. Now thats what I call service :clap:

    Thats impressive that you got a replacement.

    I was wondering if you could do a variation on that in a couple of weeks and get it exchanged for an HD5.

    I didn't get mine from Argos though, so who knows what my retailer would do if I showed them the page from the Sony Support website!

    So I was just wondering...does anyone know anything about your rights if a product is declared faulty by the manufacturer?
