hd graphics card

hi all .....i don't usually verture over to here so please be kind:D
and i'm completely useless with PC's ...


i'v just got a 4 years pc for a few £$
i'v just put some extra RAM into it (1gb DDR)

and now was wondering if i could put a hd graphics card into it??

it's not a very powerful pc so dont know what to look for,

can any one recommend a suitable card

these my system properties

if it will be any help

also it's running XP pro
and it's a pachard bell pc

i dont want it for gaming
just for viewing hd trailers and getting best picture on my 40in sammy tv

I'm afraid the windows system properties screen is pretty useless. CPU-Z is a much better bet and the mainboard tab should tell you which graphics interface you've got.

Also, check which type of celeron you've got. If it's a Northwood one then it may not be able to handle HD even with graphics card assistance as they were very slow.
 
Maybe if you can give your PC model no i can tell you what you need- i've got a £35 hd card going on ebay- you might be in luck :thumbsup:
