    Hi there,

Having a large clear-out due to moving abroad, and genuinely sad to see this one go.

For sale is one Toshiba HD-XE1 HD DVD player and 227 films. This was not only Toshiba’s top of the line HD DVD player, but also an excellent up-scaling DVD player. Instead of listing specs and telling you how great it is, I’ll let the AV Forums review do the talking...

Toshiba HD-XE1 HD DVD Player Review | AVForums

The player is used, but in as-new condition (no marks) and comes with the latest firmware. It also comes with 227 films (too many to list) and includes most of the big titles, a few rare gems\imports and a handful of box sets. If you have any specific films you’re interested in, please ask.

I don’t even want to think about how much this cost originally, but all I’m looking for is £299. If the lot is sold for the asking price, I will also include (for free) a new Toshiba HD-EP35 mid-range player as a backup (only switched on once to check it works).

For only £299 this will give you (literally) hundreds of hours of entertainment.

There’s too much to ship here, so it’s collection only I’m afraid (based in West London).

Due to the fact I no longer have a TV in the property, it will not be possible to test the players unless you’re able to bring a small TV (with an HDMI input). Either that or they can be powered on so you can see displays working.

    Price and currency: £299
Delivery: Goods must be exchanged in person
    Payment method: Cash
    Location: Uxbridge

Are there any doubles i.e. 2 or more copies of the same film?

    Hi Danny,

Thanks for the offer, but that's just way too low I'm afraid.

    Hi Roman,

I think there's two copies of one of the Bourne films in there (as Toshiba gave them away with each player for a while) but no other duplicates that I can recall.

The box sets I've counted as one (i.e. The Matrix & Mission Impossible) so you could actually say there's over 230 films in there.

    Hi there,

I'm happy with £275 for the XE1 and all the films. But don't forget the asking price will get you the EP35 as well, which is worth around £40 as it is.

Happy with PayPal as well, should have put that as an option really.

    XE1, EP35 & all films sold to Oakleyspatz for £295 - I assume £299 was a typo :)

    Will take it to PM.

DOH! Just seen my original post.

Thought I put it up for £295 not £299. You obviously still get it for £295 :)
