My player arrived yesterday, plugged it in and everything fine, played some SD stuff and upscaling is amazing

My TRUE HD-DVD orders have not arrived yet but I got a DVD set called "Pirates" which one disc is supposed to be in HD (Adult title by the way  ). When I put this disc in it comes up on the front panel as "CD" and then the player crashes?? WTF??

Anyone have an idea on why this is happening or is it the disc?

    Cheers

Pirates is a regular DVD-ROM with a 720p HD WMV file on it, playable only with a PC or a device capable with that sort of thing. Pirates WILL NOT play back on a true HD-DVD player.

There are a few of these WMV HD-DVDs in circulation - unfortunately they do not play in high def players or even on the Xbox 360 (which you'd expect to be able to handle them). They are quite rare now having been surpassed by HD DVD and BluRay - so you shouldn't run into them again.

Can they be streamed to the 360 from a media centre PC?
