With the Toshiba stand alone players now falling to £119.99 on play.com surely its just a matter of time before we see another price-cut on the addon?? as its really bad value at £99 in comparison.

If anyone sees it below £99 can they post here as I am looking one.

I think they will reduce the price in feburary when the 5 free hd-dvd deal ends, but probably wont drop by much because its already cheap.

Unlikely. I work for MS and we cannot get them that much cheaper at the moment at staff rates. Don't forget that the Toshiba's are sold at a big loss. I guess MS is less inclined to take the hit.

Don't expect a price drop - remember that a lot of people buy these to use with their PC, not their Xbox.

    What does that matter?

The point is it's more expensive than a stand-alone now.

Also if Argos have it for £89.99, or any store for that matter, you can go to PC World and have them to price match with an extra 10% difference applied to it too.

The 5 free HD-DVD offer was supposed to have ended on 31-01-08 so anyone paying £89:99 for one now must be mad when you could have bought one last week for £100 and got the 5 free films, unless they have extended the offer.
