Saw the Viera in a local retailers the other day, screening an HD demo. Looks fab I must say. I didnt have time to hang around & wait for a sales bod to answer my question.

It was set in the 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' castle in Bavaria. (Naschwenstein??? )

I wondered if anyone knows what the short movie was/is, and how it was fed into the TV??

PC with demo running from hard drive is usual. DVI to HDMI cable from graphics card on PV to Panny's HDMI socket. Can also feed the signal into an HDMI distribution amp first (as in Comet at the moment), to send the signal to several sets at once.

The Panasonic shop I saw the Hi-def demo on (I went on to but the 42" PV500!) was using a Japanese HiDef Panasonic player with the content streamed of the HDD.

    Looked fantastic!

The official Panasonic HD Demo we were given is a Japanese Hard Drive and adapter, but it's fed through component. The cables aren't anything special, so there's some very minor faults but otherwise it's stunning.

The Panasonic fitter said it runs in 720p, but I later found out it was 1080i.
