Most LG demos I have seen have been fed HD from a Shuttle-style small form factor PC with the video stored on an internal hard drive.

I've seen Pansonic plasmas using a Japanese set top box and iLink connected external hard drive (emulating a D-VHS VCR), Sony plasmas fed with an MPEG2 1st gen BluRay recorder, and Sharp screens fed with a Chinese HVD (HD video on a DVD-ROM) player.
