Hi bit stuck with the whole SPDIF thing

I have 2 belden 1694a coxial cables, one going from the DVD digital out to the SPDIF IN on the HD-D45, the other going from SPDIF OUT to the AMP Digital IN = No sound

Either coaxial cable direct from DVD to AMP = Sound OK

Coaxial from dvd to HD-D45 then I get sound from TV Speakers

So.... have a got a dodgy SPDIF OUT ? on the TV

    any advice much appreciated
    Cheers

    Dan

    Dan,

you have to tell the HD-D45 which video source you want to sync the sound to.

Also, I was only able to use the "cd digital in" on my Yamaha AV1 amp.. the "DVD / Laserdisc digital in" didn't work for some reason (not faulty.. just an incorrect signal)

    Hope this helps

    Cheers
    Den
