HD Content for Sony Bravia LCD

I've just bought a Sony 40" LCD Bravia and am desperate to put some HD quality through it. Im thinking the only way I can do this is through my laptop (is this correct?). I have HD DVD player if that helps. Can anyone advise how I can recreate what I saw in the shops???? HD Content?

No you don't, they haven't been released yet, what you have is an upscaling DVD player that adds lines for resolution.

If you want to watch HD stuff then use VGA or DVI from your laptop to your PC.
