I'm looking at buying a HD ready plasma for daytime viewing SKY HD when it finally arrives. I have a sony HS50 projector for my HD movies and night time viewing. I have a HTPC connected to the projector, but at the moment I don't think I will be connecting it to the plasma. Been looking at the pioneer 42MXE10,panasonic PH8D and the 42PX60. As I already have a projector I don't really want to spend TOO much on a plasma, but I don't want to feel like I've wasted the money I have spent. Budget of approx £2000-£2500, ideas suggestions as to my best bet?? TIA

I think any of those will be great although I'm a Panasonic fan. If you're going to wall mount it, the PX60 sticks out further than the PHD8, don't know about the Pio. You can get the PHD8 for 1650ish from av-sales at the mo, giving you a few hundred for mount, decent HDMI cable (don't try to go over 7m ;) ) and HDMI board.

if it's a choice between a long hdmi cable and a long digital optical cable is it better to go for the longer optical cable??
