Its just a shame you have to sit idrectly infront of the DLP to see the picture due to its awefull viewing angles.
sorry i have to disagree with you and so would alot of people that own dlp sets,you may be mistaken them for standard rear projection....but not dlp
as I put in another reply, the Comet in Slough had 6 HD ready sets being fed a HD loop from a PC, via a HDMI distribution amp. Nice stuff coming out. There was some stuttering and solarisation, but you could quickly glance across and see it was the source not the TVs.
most importantly they had a couple of the sets I was considering, and they sold me on the potential for HD.
Although the on in Farnborough where I work has a really bad setup. Maybe the HD stuff is being rolled out at the mo, and hasn't got to your local store yet?
i viewed the tosh 50 inch dlp and you can sit practically side on with minimal loss, a bit big for what i wanted ,but the picture quality was a1.
