HD/Blue Ray....sound formats

    maybe a silly question but when hi Definition DVD/Blue Ray is out and its 'Lossless' sound quality will we also need new amps or processors? as i am about to get a new amp and dont want to upgrade again when i eventaully get one of these players.

    To play the new format's in all their glory you'll need a new amp/processor that can decode DD+ and DTS HD but they will be backwards compatible for older units.

    Your need to buy new everything new screen to handle HD res, new player, new amps.

    And all your DVD's in new HD format, LIKE THATS GONNA HAPPEN. People buy tapes abd then DVD's are a big difference for everyone, but HD will the man on the street with his 28inch 4/3 tv notice the difference, i doubt it.

    one of the standards of blue ray will be DTS
