HD amplifiers

Looking to upgrade my amp, at the mo have pioneer vsx 2011 and was wondering what the best HD amp for £800 to £1000 would be, any thoughts any one?

Onkyo 875 might be worth a look.

TBH, you need to get out and demo. If you ask Yamaha, Denon, Pioneer, Onkyo, Marantz owners, they will simply reply with what they own themselves. Alternatives to the Denon suggested above would be the Denon 2908/3808, Pioneer LX60/LX70, Marantz SR4002 and Yamaha RX-V1800 would interest me. Check the owners forums and do a search on the likes of the less popular Marantz which look really good for the money.
