    hello

i currently have a electrohome marquee 8000 projector, using a 74" wide 16:9 screen, and cannot decide between an hcpc or the centrestage cs-1, or even running the hcpc into the cs-1 via dvi.

Personally, I'd go CS-1 due to being less hassle day to day and you then always have the chance to feed it with HCPC DVI as well. I got my CS-1 this week and it is superb and gives a beautiful image on a Barco 701s.

I don't think you would regret it.

I would have to agree with Messiah. There are certain advantages for both HCPC & external video processors such as the Centerstage. The C/S wins it for me on it's flexibility and ease of use.

If you want to read a good review on a CS-1, which takes an objective comparision between the two try get your hands on a copy of this months 'The perfect vision.'
There's a great article on this very subject. If you can't find the US magazine you can read the review, which is featured on the Focus Enhancements web site. Go to www.focusinfo.com

    All the best.

    Hi Wendy,

I use both with my Marquee 8001.
I use a PC based DVD player for watching DVD's as I find this gives me a great picture.
I also use a CS-1 for external sources as this provides flexibility.

    Hi Wendy,

Although mine's an 8001 it's had the Acon removed.Have you tried it yet?
I think the software is only V2 but would have to check.
I tend to try mine at different resolutions mainly 1280x720 and 1280x960 depending on the source.I've also tried 1024x768.
Best to try a few out and see what you find's best for you.
My Marquee had three replacement tubes fitted when I bought it sourced from VDC.
I had a problem with one of them and it was replaced under warranty.
I had Tony Pope, an ex EH Tech swop it over for me.
Can't comment on the DVI as I've not tried it.
