    Hi

This is a specialist/strange sort of question and I am hoping someone can help me.

I have a Nvidia Geforce4 card with my AE-100 connected to it. Using powerstrip I can get the correct wide 480 setting to come on the projector but only after a bit of work. It seems I only get the wide setting to show on the projector if I set it up in a particular order which I can never work out.

What I mean is that say I have the projector on, then set the powerstrip resolution, then go into Nview and clone the desktop it doesn't always then say wide480 on the projector only vga480. Or another order such as if I have the projector off, then set powerstrip, then clone, then turn projector on, it doesn't always say wide480 either. Or doing it a different order doesn't always get it to show wide480. This is so annoying.

Does anyone know the correct order I need to set the various things up in. It really bugs me that I have to mess about for 1/2 an hour doing things in various different orders to get the wide480 showing on the projector.

I hope I have explained this right.

    Thanks for any replies.
    Greg

    Hi there

Having just re-read your post, do I understand that you are mirroring your dektop to another VGA or s-vis out of your graphics card? So having your desktop displaying at say 1024x768 on your monitor and 856x480 on your AE100?

From my experience, doing this, the graphics card always wants to see a a source.
So, first thing to power up would be the projector, then PC, then switch desktop mirroring on.

I am still not quite sure I fully understand your question, but If can be of any further help/hindrance! let me know!

    Thanks tvr for the reply

My graphics card is a Gainward Geforce4 Ti4600 with two dvi ports (with vga adaptors) and a svideo port.

I have my monitor into one and the projector into the other. So I am cloning one desktop onto the other. I have both desktops on the same resolution using powerstrip.

I have never tried powering the PC with the projector already running. Don't know why thinking about it!

I will definitely try your suggestion.

    Thanks
    Greg
