Hey guys just finished building my hcpc.

problem;when i was at the bios menu at the first start up,i turned the power off cos i forgot to put s/thing in.

When i powered the machine back up nothing happens on screen.

power's ok everything works, but my lcd monitor goes into power saving mode and i cant wake the thing up.

the m/board i'm using is asus a7v8x.

Is this an agp problem(radeon9000pro(?
please help guys .

eager to hear yr advice.

Look in the motherboard manual, and see how you clear the cmos. It will be a jumper that you change on the motherboard, then power up the PC (nothing will happen) then change back. This will load the default BIOS settings.

ok.I worked out whats causing the problem.

The bios controled display management system(dpms)

this feature lets the bios control the video display card, and i have inadvertently selected the vh sync +blank option.

i tried to clear the cmos but it didnt work, maybe i didnt do it right(anyone with this board that can give me a walk through).

anyone had a prob like this b4.

   :(
