Having trouble with crosstalk

Hey guys

I got told that i have crosstalk issues with my tv. From me listing the symptoms, someone has told me its crosstalk im having issues with.

I have the LG LA740V which i been told is passive so crosstalk shouldn't be much of an issue. Although my tv has it quite bad.

Anyone have any ideas on how to reduce or get rid of it? Or is it something that cant be solved without buying a different tele?

Thanks

Assuming there's nothing wrong with the TV then the only possibility is that you're viewing at the wrong vertical angle. This often happens when owners mount their sets high up on a wall and are then forced to look upwards.

Ideally you want the set dead vertical with the centre of the screen at eye-level.

Must be an issue with the tele then mate as i have got the tv on a wall mount but have it as high as if it was on a stand. So the centre of the tv is only just higher than eye level. Only just. But thats probably cause i slouch. Lol.

So is this something i should get the tv replaced over? Ring up the store and tell them?

Definitely or maybe contact LG over it.

I gather LG have had some issues with a bad batch of 3D modules so they should be aware of it. It's not a cross-talk problem in the conventional sense but more of a complete failure of the 3D logic (which in theory means it can easily be fixed) which only seems to affect the higher end sets.

If unsure then check your set against an in-store 3D display on one of the (cheaper :)) LGs.

Jason from the other thread he has going, he appears to suggest he is watching in 2D-3D mode. Can you help him, as I'm not familiar with LG 3D options but that doesn't sound like he's watching native 3D in a native 3D mode.......

Will be much appreciated Jason if you could help us, if i have got it on the wrong mode. If not, i will contact LG like you suggested.

I agree but unfortunately I'm not familiar with the controls on this LG either.

General guide seems to be always leave 3D settings at default (which normally perform best anyway) but if in doubt then compare against another passive TV (in-store or at a friends house perhaps). It doesn't really matter what the actual make is as it should be fairly obvious if the quality of 3D doesn't match up.

If it doesn't compare then it might suggest a fault with the set but from reading the other thread it doesn't really sound like it.

Right when i view that youtube clip or put on a 3D bluray, it dont let me choose what screen type i view it in. It automatically turns 3D on but when i press the 3D button on the remote, it dont give me the option to change the screen type, it just turns it off or on. But when im watching 2D sky, when i press the 3D button, it does give me the option.

Another annoying thingni've found out in 3D mode is when i change it from left/right to right/left, everytime i turn 3D back on another time, it resets back to left/right. Its the only setting that does reset though. The rest stays the same.

That's probably a good feature as all professional media should play as supplied.

The left/right control (eye correction) should only ever be needed when watching home-grown productions when someone has made a mistake with the encoding

It simply saves having to wear your glasses upside down (try it :))
