    :(

due to unexpectantly needing a chunk of money which I need asap I have to sell a bit of kit :thumbsdow

decided to sell the 10-22  not by choice but as it's my newest lens (few weeks) so I haven't had time to fall in love with it and it's worth the most as well. It's as new so more sellable than the others I have. I'd love to sell something else and keep that one but it would mean having to sell at least 2 other lenses to get the money which I didn't want to do.

Anyway it's up on POTN if anyone was interested - I think I need a beer

Oh man... that's a bit of a wrench. Couldn't you sell a kidney or child or something? ;)
Sure anyway you'll get a good price for that lens - it won't lose much value... Hopefully you'll get a bit more $$$ soon and be able to replace it...

Thought about selling my body then realised unless it was an old granny I'd get next to nothing :rotfl:

Seriously though it is a big wrench but in one way due to the weather up here I haven't had a chance to give it a proper go so haven't used it much. Did think about selling my other lenses 50 1.4, 17-70, 70-300is but I'd have to sell 2 of them to get the money I need which isn't an option really as I use those lenses alot

It's a shame especially as it's only a few weeks old and like you say hopefully I'll be able to replace it maybe before next summer  but needs must......

I am sure things will work out they are only possessions after all and we enjoy them while we have them, but when other things become more important, they have to go.
You only enjoy them while you have them, but not having them dont make life bad or anything, you just dont have them anymore.

The good side is you can look forward to be able afford to buy them again.

    Such is life:cool:

Needs must sometimes, but like bodo says it's justa material possesion, and by the time you can afford to replace it there may even be a better option.

It's better to want what you have, than have what you want.

hmmm don't think the rules on here let you advertise else where, it's free and justs takes a min to register on POTN

are you interested? if so i'll close it on there and list on here if you're seriously interested. just thought i'd put it on there as there would be a bigger audience.

it's only a few weeks old so still has 11 months canon warranty and is in brand new condition so i want it to go to a good home

These lenses seem to hold their price well, I know I lost on mine but I was in a rush to get rid :(

It is a superb lense and well worth the investment, if you are thinking of getting one in the near future then grab it. You won't look back :)

@Bubble: Hope the sale goes well and you sort it all out :)

been offered £360 for the lens, should I sell at this considering it's just a few weeks old? the guy said he can get it from b&h for $675 (£340ish) when he goes to the states but do you not have to add sales tax onto that price??

    cheers
