I’ve found an old camcorder with footage of family that have now passed on. I’d love to watch these again so I’ve been trying to connect the camcorder to my TV and I’m having problems.
So far I’ve bought a red/yellow/ red lead with the other end being a HDMI- from Amazon and it didn’t work. The camcorder is very old- it’s a handycam video hi8- CCD TR680e. It powers up and I can see the video playing on the camcorder.
The model of my tv is a Panasonic TX 58ex700b. I have some pin head connectors on the back of the tv, do I need an red/yellow and white lead with the same connectors on both sides? I can’t see a yellow pin end on the back of the TV.
I’ve tried YouTube, the videos there either use the double ended r/y/w leads or the camcorders shown are much newer.
Coming to you all in the hope that any of this makes sense and you can advise!
