Ive heard of sky multiroom i think it is , i was interested in this but a mate of mine has a sky box he doesnt need.

Could this just be plugged in to the ariel in another room, upstairs bedroom for example and work in the same way or am i completly missing the point or is there a way it could be used like this, if anyone could help????

First you need to check that the LNB on your dish has more than 1 output. If it does then you can run another feed (aerial lead) from the dish to the 2nd sky box. This will only give you free-to-air (un-encrypted) stations though. You can get a freesat card from sky (cost about £20 I believe) to see all the freesat (encrypted, but free) channels.

If you wish to have exactly the same channels you have on your main box, then you will need to pay the £10 per month for multiroom.

But yes, you can use your mates sky box.

Hope this helps.
