I find it difficult to compromise on most things in life, including the gear I buy..

This means it might be a while before I purchase a 200mm lens...

..in the middle of reading the article, I'm pretty sure I'm a spending addict - also when I'm thinking about a new piece of gear, I'll stop using the old because I feel that using it would be time wasted - since the results will be better with the new gear :) - maybe that's wrong, but it still feel logical

It's ironic, cause my trade was in gas. Had my own business, so had loads of gadgets/tools for measuring gas etc :D

I have a forum related weakness that I'm almost as happy researching toys as I am buying them or using them. I have a tendency to spend a lot of time finding the perfect projector, camera, Bluray player, car... then - even though I've got the best price/performance balance - I still keep looking at the websites and forums.

I know I've spent more time reading about photography and more pertinently cameras than I have working on making great pictures or learning from terrible ones. I really should get out more :D

Louise wants to go to Wisley to see the butterflies, but needs me to go so we get in for free. Well since I don't have my macro lens any more I'm finding it difficult to find interest. I could use my prime lenses, but the MFD is poor.

I checked TP and someone is selling the MP-E and twin flash for £1000.

    Louise would not approve.. sigh

I had always told myself I'd get the 100L next time, would be good for flowers too.

Maybe I would be best off with that, just hard to resist the mp-e. Can I even call this a compromise :D

I was looking at the Carl Zeiss Otus 55mm.. but i'm sure you'll agree it's a little steep - I mean for HALF the cost I could get....

I've text her to see how she responds :) (with the 100mm 2.8 L idea (you could even use it Love))
