have you ever had a tune stuck in your head that no matter how hard you try, you can't get rid of it ?, earlier today an ice-cream van was round playing The Entertainer tune, can't get it out of my head lol.

    Constantly.

Right now it's one line from the song used on Sky's Ashes coverage.

The lyric's sound like "we are full of wonder," but I'm not convinced that's right.

    It's driving me crazy.

Last week there was something on kid's TV that featured the god-awful Ebony & Ivory. Later that evening I caught the Meerkats ad with the same tune. That took a good couple of days to shift.

Some people call it an 'earworm'.
I get them all the time, the worst is when it's in my head all night while I'm trying to sleep.

Funnily enough I infected everyone at work today with this.....

    Herb Alpert - Spanish Flea

I only whistled it once and two people joined in. Within half an hour it spread like a virus and someone was whistling it every couple of minutes! :)

yeah, i do wonder where i even hear some head tunes. some appear and i havent heard them for years.

get your kids onto ben and holly. much better and more in there for adults to enjoy too (i think its for older kids but my son has always enjoyed from about 12 months). its made by the same people and a lot of the voice actors are on both too.

Haha, I'm impressed you think it sounds like something. I rewound it umpteen times for my daughter the other day to see if she could catch what they were saying. We came to the conclusion it's gibberish.

You could try looking up some Puff the Magic Dragon parody lyrics - there's quite a few of those.
I occasionally sing (at folk clubs etc.) my Flush the Magic Toilet version but there's also Puff the Rocker Dragon and a non PC version called "Poof the magic Dragon".

I once had Nelly Fortado's "She's a man Eater" stuck in my head for three weeks. I wil go to bed with it running around my head going, try and sleep whilst singing it and wake up singing it and not even properly just kind of humming "She's a man eater ta dada dad tadad da daa." I nearly went bat **** crazy.
