If so, how did it go? What were their reasons?

Was pulled over today for the first time ever.

Driving along the motorway and had already saw their flashing blue lights for another motor. They then started driving again and came up behind me. Saw the flashing blue lights in the rear view and pulled into the hard shoulder. Little did I know that I had been driving without a valid MOT certificate and got an on the spot fine. Absolutely my fault and I hold my hands up, it had just completely slipped my mind.

£100 fine for me, zero points on the license (which would have been more costly than the actual fine) and sent on my way. Tried desperately to get an MOT test done today but had no luck. That's my motor out of action for a few days until I can get it booked in.

You should be flogged in a public place:D

And once it's done, set a recurring reminder for 11 months time in your phone or online calendar.

Been pulled over about a dozen times, twice in one day one all in my old Nova's. Once I changed car I never got pulled over again. Some of the reasons were, loud music, taking corner to fast, taking roundabout to fast, loud exhaust, led washer jets, random checks, possible drug dealing etc..

Ive run without an mot at the beginning of the year, my garage closed and stopped sending the mot reminders out, now I have all 3 cars In my calendar with reminders 2 weeks before the service, mot and road tax.

Only once, 46 in a 30.
3 points and a £60 fine.
I could have sworn it was a 40 limit down that road....
The copper was really good about it and admitted he had been caught only couple of weeks earlier.
When I turned to leave the road they had pulled me into there was about 15 cars waiting to be processed.
I was glad he didn't check my tyres as they were like racing slicks, I was on my way to get new ones. :p

Used to get pulled over a lot when younger and out with friends. But then a few lads in XR/RS turbo etc. always draws attention. Most were for a check of tyres etc. but had one officer who was out to find something so even checked the windscreen washers as well. Needless to say all of these things were fine since we got stopped most weekends so made sure the cars were faultless.

When I was in my early 20s I had a Sierra Cosworth and got pulled quite a few times, mostly so they could ask if it was real and have a look under the bonnet! Also got pulled in a 3 Seried BMW I had that had the M Sport engine with the M3 bodykit. I was fined and given.points on that occasion though - faulty speedo.

We used to get pulled weekly back in the day.....their reason was we looked suspicious.

Much the same here in my Cosworth days....I was tailed quite often and pulled over a couple of times.

Also one bizarre tailing all the way into town by two uniformed officers in an unmarked car....every time I changed lane, they did,and also every turn etc etc, until we pulled up at some lights, where I waved to them, and they simply pulled off and went in another direction.

I left scratching my head wondering if they really expected me to hoof it with such an obvious police tail....

Got pulled for doing 50 in a 30 coming off the hanger lane giro at 2am coming home from work. The officer stuck his head in the car and asked if I'd been drinking. I replied just on my way home from work officer and he was happy with that and told me to have a safe journey home. Happy days. It was 15 years ago tho.

I get pulled over almost once every week. used to it now but it's still annoying as hell. always the same reason, to check that the car is mine and I have a license and insurance and I 'look too young' to own and drive the car that I drive...apparently.

I used to get the same. Looked about 13 when I was 18 and my dad had me named on his company car insurance so I used to use his brand new cars all the time. Got stopped 5 times in one week once. Couldn't get served in a pub either :(

I was pulled a lot in my teens and twenty's and then banned for being insured on a car that was listed as a 1300cc but actually a 1994cc pinto in it.
I remember going around a round a bout sideways in my mk2 escort and the being pulled by the police.
The conversation was something like "your centrifugal fan is bigger than any 1300 engine I have ever seen" and was banned for 15 months for not being insured.
Lesson Learned !!
Loved that car, as did the girls :(

There was a lone motorcycle cop doing spot-checks on a country lane.
I was taking my parents for their first ride in the car that I had picked up from the dealer on my 21st birthday. Had about about 15 miles on the clock.
Would have been horrified if he'd found any issues!

Used to. Not any more. Never see traffic police around Manchester that often. And they always do checks in the same place

Teens to early 20's almost all the time. I lived in a small town and actually knew most of the coppers by name. In all fairness we antagonised them something rotten and at some point (bar one of my group) got arrested for minor offences (I got arrested for swearing in a public place). I think it gave them something to do as nothing and I mean nothing happened in our town.

Last time was 2am and I crossed a large roundabout to fast (I was on call and needed to assess someone in A&E). I explained where I was going and what I do and was asked if I was the one having the assessment. They kicked a few tires said I was worth a tug and let me on my way.

in my mid 20's use to get pulled 2,3 times a month when i had my audi ur quattro all they did was check everything which was spot on which is was.
excuse for being pulled it's a unusual car we don't see them on the roads often so we stop you to see if it's stolen.
didn't help me 12 months later when some scumbag stole it from the car park opposite the police station

strangely only been pulled once on the motorbike and that was a couple of months ago been riding for 20 years

Owning a N. Ireland reg car in the late 80's early 90's, and living just outside London attracted a fair bit of attention!!
The most memorable having a police escort (car in front and one behind) out of Windsor one Sunday afternoon because they thought I was going to blow up the castle. Loads of other times as well, mostly under the guise of Prevention of Terrorism.

Once got stopped on the M1 for a mis-spaced number plate, fair cop but slightly annoying as I'd done 25k miles with the plate on and never been stopped.

And a strange one, had a car tailgating me on my way to work one morning, if I sped up he sped up and if I slowed down he slowed down. When I got to a roundabout I could see it was a police car. He pulled me around the corner and said I'd been speeding, I hadn't apart from a couple of mph over when trying to stop him tailgating me.

He then let me off, and when I got to work one of the lads I work with had been driving behind us and said the police car was driving so close to me he had to keep tapping the brakes. No idea why he did that or pulled me then let me off!

I got pulled over years ago with the reason 'driving too fast'. My mates and I couldn't help it and burst out laughing. There were five of us in a Citroen 2CV and pushing it would've been quicker.

The policeman asked whose car it was and when I said it was a company car he burst out laughing and said something like 'they don't like you much'.

Luckily the policeman didn't spot the string from the door to the seat that was preventing the door from flying open.

I can't say I have to date but my sister has.......... and she ended up marrying the fella!

Yeah, pulled for a none working front Fog light... the lady officer was convinced I had been drinking (I hadn't as I had been working all day at a customers site), I passed the test... and I am sure it pissed her off that she hadn't caught me drink driving.

I was pulled over once doing my milk round :) driving an old ford transit.
Said I looked a bit young from a distance. Cheeky git.

Those were the days, i remember my mates mark 2 escort with a 2 litre pinto in it yet it said 1.6 sport on the side
My mate had a Chevette with some massive alloys on it and when he got stopped i remember them police officer saying did you buy the wheels and get the rest of the car free :rotfl:

I've been pulled many a time back in the day due to the cars my mates and i used to drive, from a Mark 2 Escort RS to an Astra GTE etc. We used to cruise pretty much every night back in the day.
I've even had a police car come up to me in the local parks car park when i was in my car with a young lady as you do, or did, and the police officer advised us that there were thugs about so to be careful as they target any car even those occupied

My most recent involved being pulled doing 104mpg in my Seat Cupra R when i owned it, needles to say i had to go to court, that was 2004 i think?

I also got pulled in my Seat Cupra R again, pulling out of a pub car park near Christmas (2004 again i think) but this was an unmarked police car so i didnt stop and just carried on. He then proceeded to chase me down the nearby dual carriageway and then pulled me again with all lights flashing etc and whilst the other officer was hanging out of the window pointing to the lay-by. When he approached my car i said that as it was an unmarked police car i didnt want to stop on a dark road so waited until a safer opportunity arose as they could have been car jackers, to which he was really cool with. He just breathalysed me and sent me on my way and told me how sensible it was to wait for a more populated area :)
