Have the relevant problems been resolved within TT i.e incompatibility with Audiophile 24/96 sound cards, problems with DTS thruput, stutter & judder problems, & also I recall it was an SOB to make multi-regionable.
Any thoughts as always greatly app'd

I have Theatertek with DIO 24/96 card and have not experienced any problems. Multiregionality is also easy with DVD region killer.

Best HTPC I've ever seen had TT and had none of these problems. I'll be getting TT for my unit when I start building it.

    Hi Stuart,
How did you get it? Is there a European distributor yet?
How much was the postage etc? Did you pay import vat etc?
I remember Jenz telling me to contact someone can't remember his name at Immersive, I sent an email but got no reply.
    Cheers
    Tim

Tim, I assume your questions are with regard to the TheaterTek player.
So a search for previous threads with 'Theatertek' in them.
    You'll find the answers.

I'd also like to know where people are ordering it from, immersive on-line store or digital connections or what? I haven't seen any reference to a shipping method on either of those which is making me wonder if I'm getting it from the right place, don't want to end up with a $60 shipping charge! So is it best to get it from immersive or where?

    Cheers,
    Andy.

I emailed them with my credit card details/address and what i wanted to order etc.
They sent me the "Demo" disc via normal airmail.(this is to prevent customs charging excess etc)
You have to "activate" the software via software lock code, if you are keeping the program. You just email immersive with the code the program gives you, they email the unlock code back(once they have charged you). If you decide after two weeks that you don't want it, the program just locks you out etc.

They allow you to install the program on several machines in the same household. Each machine needs it own unlock code, as the programs get this code from your hardware!.

They are aware that their website quotes about $60 shipping to the UK. But you will not be charged this, shipping is a few of dollars!.

It worked out at less than £60 "all in" including shipping.

I bought TT from Digital Connections. I think that it was about $18 shipping to Ireland, certainly no more than than anyway, and I had it within one week.

I have had the TT player form the start. I use the AP24/96 card in SP/DIF pass-thru. The technical support and the evolution of this player as well as the AP 24/96 card is first class.

I am running XPHE and have no siginificant issues. They are now in the process of doing a fix for PAL users.

There is to my knowledge no other software player that is so responsive to customer needs.
