have pioneer eliminated lip sync probs?

DVD player before the one I have now had bad lip sync problems and led me to sell it, but I am tempted with their new players.
I just need to know if the probs are sorted.
The player I had by the way was DV 505 or something. (It was an early one)

I recently went from a 717, which had lip sync issues with certain films to a 757 and there is now no lip sync problems on the offending discs.
