I bought a PC Ultra around August, and my brother has been looking enviously at it for a while. His wife has just given approval for a cylindrical sub (she wouldn't have a box), but only if its the smaller size 25/31. So that meant it had to be the PCi 25/31 or PC+25/31. He wanted to keep the costs down, and wouldn't need to play at ear-splitting levels and was ready to go for the PCi. However, I intervened and suggested he spend the extra $225 on the PC+ as he could then 'tune' it to the same depths as my PC Ultra. With the $ so low at the moment, I reckoned on it being no more than about £150 dearer. Was this good advice? Is the PC+ really any better if you only need moderate volumes? I've estimated that the overall bill (after VAT & duty) will be around £620. Does that sound about right? If I've got it wrong, then my sister in law will probably want to kill me!... seriously!
