MCE Live TV via my Hauppauge 150 MCE began stuttering and making popping noises yesterday.

Couldn't find any Windows event errors so I removed and re-installed the card and it was fine after that.

    Strange...

A day later and the Live TV stuttering has re-appeared...

Does anyone know what might be causing this?

I had exactly the same problem and thought it as MCE. I therefore uninstalled MCE and put XP and Media Portal on.

With timeshift functionality enabled it continued to do this, with it disabled i didnt. However, this kind of defeats the object.

I tired vartious hauppage dirvers and it ddn't make a blind bit of difference. So I would guess either the compatability suggested is not s great as we are lead to beleive or the drivers are not stable.

    If anyone has the PVR

I powered the PC off and on and it cured the second recurrence. No further probs since then so no idea what the root cause was. My drivers are up to date so fingers crossed it'll be OK and has been so far. I wouldn't like to ditch MCE as it's by far the best thing Microsoft have come up with as far as I'm concerned.
