Bought one of these and have used it.

I was looking for video capture with hardware MPEG2 encoding at a reasonable price. The PVR150 does this for £60 or cheaper.

    So whats the problem?

Audio - you cant adjust the input level of the audio. It normalises to the extreme ie loud sounds are brought down and quiets sounds are brought up. It is really bad.

You cant get round it either by using the audio input of another soundcard because the HW encoder will only take audio stream from the input jack on the PVR150.

Video - Very impressed with the encoding - only slight softening. On the capture quality side its not quite as good as my Lifeview2000 using Dscaler.

Anyway - back to PCWorld it goes, I cant put up with quiet parts of music sounding as loud as the loudest parts - its just not right.
