Conan is indeed an excellent film. It's got that 'epic' aura about it, and one of the best scores ever...

Conan The Barbarian's not a movie.... it's a way of life.
Arnie's never been better (in my humble estimations)

I liked him better in the original "Terminator" movie.

Ok. so it will never make the imdb top 250 - so what.

I think arnie was never better than in that movie, all muscle, alot of gore, lots of beautiful naked woman, not to mention the best musical score for any moive and very little dialogue...thats beats the terminator (and commando) on at least the nudity and musical score level

oh, and please don't mention that destroyer movie in this thread again

    :D

So long as I like them, that's all that matters :p

So in all seriousness now, if Conan is Camlogan's favourite movie of all time, then so be it :)

Personally, I hated it and I think it's one of Arnie's worst :(

I think Mickey Blue Eyes is hilarious, particularly the scene in the Chinese restaurant. One of the very few decent films Hugh Grant has made :D

Although I have a few of his films, I generally find Arnie to be rubbish.

Just make sure that the actual trading process is restricted to the right area! :p

I love the score to Conan - Basil Poledouris, one of my fave composers. Ripped off by Jerry Goldsmith (my other fave composer) for Total Recall. :)

I thought it was the best film ever made - I actually have 7 copies of it - one for every day of the week. However, I have a new Sunday film now so can afford to sell one :) :D.

Wouldn't call it the best film ever, but sure do love it.

Have had it on laserdisc for many years and just got the special edition on DVD. Don't think the added scenes does much for the movie, but it's wonderful to finally hear the spectacular score in stereo (or 5.1 if you like). The soundtrack on the laserdisc was in mono.

If anyone fancies getting their own version of one of the swords used in the movie, take a look here:

    http://www.filmswords.com/conan/conanframe.htm

Be sure to bring a fat wallet though....
