he's not half right about that, I was in Canada last October that's when it came on the big screen, Warning the following could be a SPOILER, [post edited by Garrett] the bit when she's coming out of the well that has got to be the scariest bit of all time in any movie in my humble opinion.

No, I didn't get it. Had trouble staying awake. Japanese version by the way. Overhyped and very dull. You want scary - try Halloween, unmatched as yet in my opinion

the bit at the end with the TV in the original version of Ring (ie Ringu) is terrifying, although I can see how the rest of the film could seem slow. Can't wait for the US remake.

The original trilogy is shown quite frequent on film four extreme .

Mark Kamode (think thats how its spelt) gives a great insite into the film before it starts

Ive seen all the Japanese Ring movies and they are pretty good, however the hollywood remake of The Ring is actually better in a lot of ways to the Japanese movie. My advice is to watch them both as they are both good films. I will be buying The Ring (hollywood remake) DVD when it comes out as I liked the movie. I will probably skip buying the Japanese ring movie and instead get The Eye so I can lend it to my friend who has the ring movies :D
